Electronic Device Use Policy

Electronic devices (such as mobile phones, smartphones, smartwatches, cameras, etc.) These devices may only be used by students and employees who utilize them for clearly defined medical needs (such as glucose monitoring or cardiac monitoring) during testing. Schools in the Sumter School District will collect and secure any electronic devices that are not permitted within the testing environment. Having or using prohibited electronic devices while taking a state exam is a testing violation that could lead to disciplinary action and invalidate a student’s testing results.
